hypervised desktop for autonomous agents

Your agents get a Mac of their own.

curl -fsSL https://atlas.insanearts.io/install.sh | sh
  • macOS 14 or later
  • Works with Claude Code and Codex
How it works

Set up once.
Then it's your agent's Mac.

  1. 01

    Set up once.

One window creates the helper account. You switch to it once to allow Atlas with the usual macOS prompts, then switch back.

  2. 02

Your agent opens the build there.

Claude Code or Codex runs your build in the helper, a signed-in macOS login in the background, and looks at it.

  3. 03

You watch from the menu bar.

Atlas's menu bar item shows the helper live and the agent's last action. Open the viewer to take over.

Features

It tests like a person.
On a screen of its own.

YouYour Mac. You keep typing.
AgentThe helper. It clicks through Opie.

A desktop of its own.

A hidden second macOS login. Your windows, keyboard and mouse are never touched.

Clicks by name.

It finds Show Center by its name, clicks it, and types text exactly as written.

Opens your build. Cleans up.

A build the helper can't read is copied to a read-only folder, and deleted when the app closes.

Settings in, rolled back.

Only the files an app needs, previewed first and rolled back after. Never credentials.

Screenshots as proof.

It looks before it acts, and brings the screenshot back to your chat.

Your agent's commands

Plain commands.
JSON answers.

Setup connects Claude Code and Codex, so every session knows Atlas. Here is one real check, step by step.

~/Developer/Opie

atlas agents project adds a short section to AGENTS.md, so agents check on screen every time.

Show Center turns off. The Ring's Center goes blank.
The viewer

Watch it live.
Take over any time.

The viewer shows the helper's screen and each action as it happens. Take Control sends your own mouse and keyboard there.

Try it: once the agent is done, choose Take Control and flip Show Center.
